Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Modern Education Studies (IJONMES) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and clarity in its publications. To ensure your manuscript aligns with our requirements, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Submission Process

  • All manuscripts must be submitted electronically via our submission portal.
  • Use the official template when preparing your manuscript.
  • Manuscripts not adhering to the template may be returned for technical revision.

Manuscript Preparation

Language: English
File Type: MS Word (.doc or .docx)
Length: Minimum 14 pages (no strict upper limit)
Font: Palatino Linotype, 11 pt (except where otherwise specified in the template)
Spacing: Line spacing should be 16 pt; paragraph spacing 6 pt before and after.
Margins: A4 size paper with 2.5 cm (1 inch) margins on all sides.
Justification: Fully justified.


 Title Page

  • Full names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, ORCID IDs, and contact numbers of all authors.
  • Identify the Corresponding Author.
  • Provide a structured abstract (150–220 words, Palatino Linotype 10 pt italic).
  • Include 3 to 7 keywords (Palatino Linotype 9.5 pt, only the first word capitalized).

Article Structure

Follow the exact formatting provided in the template, including font size, spacing, and headings:

  1. INTRODUCTION
    Capitalized, bold, centered; includes background, significance, objectives, and literature gaps.
  2. METHOD
    Clearly describe research model, participants, tools, procedures, and ethical considerations. Use italicized, left-aligned subheadings with specific spacing (as per template).
  3. RESULTS
    Present findings using formatted tables and figures with clear captions (no vertical lines in tables).
  4. DISCUSSION
    Interpret results in light of the literature, highlight implications, and link back to objectives.
  5. LIMITATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
    Address methodological limitations and propose suggestions for future research.
  6. CONCLUSION
    Summarize key insights and contributions.
  7. REFERENCES
    APA 7th edition format, Palatino Linotype 10.5 pt, DOIs and URLs must be included.

Ethics and Transparency

  • Include ethical approval details if human participants were involved (ethics committee name, decision date, document number).

Supplementary Files

Authors may upload:

  • Data sets
  • Instruments
  • Visual/audio content
    All must be labeled clearly with appropriate permissions obtained.

Declarations

  • Data Availability: Choose one of three options (no data, available online, available upon request).
  • Author Contributions: Use the relevant format (single, equal, or distinct roles).
  • Funding: State source or “none”.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Declare any potential conflicts or state “none”.
  • Acknowledgements: (Optional)
  • Biographical Notes: 15–42 words per author. Include Scopus, WoS, and Google Scholar IDs where available.

 

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Manuscript Formatting & Structure

    • The manuscript adheres to the specific format and structure as outlined in the Author Guidelines.
    • All sections, including abstract, keywords, main text, references, tables, and figures, are properly organized.
    • The manuscript has been proofread for clarity, grammar, and spelling.
  2. Ethical Considerations

    • If the research involves human participants, necessary consents and approvals have been obtained.
    • Any potential ethical concerns related to the research have been addressed.
  3. Originality & Plagiarism

    • The manuscript represents original work, and any sources used have been appropriately cited.
    • The submission has not been previously published nor is being considered by another journal.


  4. Supplementary Materials

    • Any supplementary materials (e.g., data sets, research tools) are provided in the appropriate format.
    •  Permissions have been secured for any copyrighted material included in the supplementary files.


  5. Declarations

    • All conflicts of interest, funding sources, or acknowledgments have been declared.
    • Author contributions and affiliations are correctly listed and acknowledged.
  6. Open Access & Licensing

    • The manuscript aligns with the journal's open access policy and is prepared for a CC BY license.
  7. Data Availability

    • Any research data associated with the manuscript is available or has an appropriate statement regarding its availability.
  8. Manuscript Length

    • The submission adheres to the word count or page length requirements.
     
  9. Review & Final Confirmation

    • I have reviewed all items on this checklist and confirm that my submission complies with the requirements.
    • I understand that failure to comply with these guidelines may result in my submission being returned or delayed.
